Hi my name is Emily Krezmien. I am a Senior here at Canisius majoring in Psychology with minors in School Psychology, Clinical/Counseling Child track and the new minor of Child, Family, and Community Studies. I also work in the Psychology Dept. office. I really love working with children so I plan on pursuing a career in helping children. I would like to work either exclusively in a school setting or doing assessment in a variety of settings (hospitals, schools, etc.)
I was born in Springville NY and have lived there all my life. My Dad's family also lives there so my family is really tight. My cousins , sister and I all grew up together and have remained a huge part of my life. My mom is a special education teacher and so I have known since I was young that I want to work with kids someday but not in a classroom which is why I am majoring in Psychology. I have been working in a daycare/nursery school working mainly with toddlers and also giving swimming lessons to preschoolers. I absolutely love it. I go back there to work during breaks from school and a few times in between breaks to visit since I miss them so much!
