Hello... I am the Supervisor of Practica and an adjunct professor in the Psychology Department. I am a graduate from Canisius's Psych Department and am excited to be back on campus to work with future psychologists, counselors, and social workers. I look forward to getting to know all of you and to learn about your experiences at Canisius and in your Practica.
Doing an internship is a great way to get hands-on experience. There are so many to choose from. If you have a placement in mind discuss it with your faculty advisor. Once they give it the okay, fill out the application found on the wiki and have them sign it. Then give the application to Dr. Bayer for his approval.
If you don't know where you want to do your placement, check out the student pages on the wiki. There you can read about others' experiences and may find the right one for you. Once you have decided on a placement, you will need to contact them and ask if they have the availablilty or openings.
